Events
Please join us for an inspiring event that is bringing together some of San Antonio’s most influential women to discuss their achievements in the critical fields of STEM studies (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). About Us
The Martinez Street Women’s Center is in its 12th year serving San Antonio’s East and South East community. Our Community Health Promotora Program strengthens families by increasing access to preventative health services, facilitating referrals to basic needs resources and enhancing the knowledge and awareness of health issues in our community. Through our Girl Zone Program (after school sessions and Summer Camp) we enhance academic potential, nurture high self-esteem, and support the healthy development of girls age 9 – 14. Our programs reach over 6,000 women, girls and families each year. We provide critical services, including a FREE Breast Cancer Clinic and FREE after school and summer camp for low-income families in San Antonio’s East and South East community.
Mission/Vision Statement
The Martinez Street Women's Center is a resource for Women in East and Southeast San Antonio, providing information and services that support the active participation of women and girls in the pursuit of their own physical, emotional, and social well-being. Our target population is women and girls who face barriers accessing health care and education. Our programs target low-to-moderate income women of diverse cultural backgrounds.
