Fall/Spring Internship

Under the guidance of the Program Coordinator, the Program Intern will assist with the collection of data and evaluation of program progress. The list of duties can be adjusted to conform to the specific skills and academic needs of the intern.

Internship duties are as follows:

  1. Maintenance of education curriculum files 
  2. Interaction with girl program participants during after school program hours (3-6pm weekdays and occasional Saturdays) and Summer camp hours (9am – 5pm) M-Thurs
  3. Home visits and occasional interaction with parents, following home visitation guidelines
  4. Development of testimonial data
  5. Development of literature resource binder of peer-reviewed articles on girls education and out-of-school time programs.
  6.  Development of data for the needs statement for girls’ after school program funding opportunities.
  7. Development of a program evaluation survey (evaluation of academic, behavioral, and attendance status)
  8. Maintenance of a data regarding demographic and education survey results
  9. Maintenance of a data worksheet of initial evaluation survey results
  10. Maintenance of mail and email database
  11. Assistance with administrative tasks and operations at the center, as assigned by the Program Coordinator


The intern will be directly supervised by the Program Coordinator, Andrea Figueroa.
